It’s important that both hosts and guests feel free to share an honest review of a booking. For this reason, Sync generally keeps reviews in place, with only a few specific exceptions.
Written Reviews
Sync believes that feedback is essential for a strong and competitive environment. This means we allow hosts and guests to share personal experiences about a booking and do not remove reviews. This includes reviews related to disputes about what happened during a booking or claims that a review is unfair, untrue, or could impact your standing on Sync. We will only consider removing reviews if:
They are confirmed to be retaliation for post-booking fees or damage claims.
They are motivated by a promise of payment, extra services, or a price discount.
They are motivated by a threat of blackmail.
They contain personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, or last names.
They include abusive or inappropriate language.
They refer to bookings that did not take place.
Automatic Provider Reviews
When a host cancels a booking, we will post an automatic review on their listing. We will only consider removing automatic reviews if:
An exceptional circumstance caused the cancellation.
The guest requested the cancellation.
The guest’s flight was canceled or delayed.
The previous guest damaged the vehicle or returned it late.
You felt uncomfortable due to harassment, concerns about the guest’s behavior, or their interest in prohibited activities.
The vehicle required urgent maintenance.
