How to request an invoice for your booking

  • Sync issues a receipt for every booking. If you need an invoice for your company, you can request one yourself. You do not need to contact support.

  • You send your company details (company name, VAT number, address) through a short form. You open the form from a link on your booking.

  • Sync issues the invoice when the booking ends and you return the vehicle. The invoice replaces the receipt for that booking.

  • The amount you pay stays exactly the same.

How to request an invoice

Every booking has a link for the invoice.

  1. Open the invoice link from your booking. The link opens without a login. The link already knows your booking.

  2. Enter your company name, your VAT number, and your company address.

  3. Send the form. Sync confirms that it will issue an invoice to those details.

When Sync issues the invoice

When the booking ends and you return the vehicle, Sync issues the invoice to your company. This is the same moment as the receipt today. The invoice replaces the receipt. Sync issues one document for each booking, never both.

Sync sends the invoice to you by email.

Deadline

Send your company details before the booking ends. If the request arrives after the booking ends, Sync cannot replace the receipt with an invoice.

Change or correct the details

You can open the same link again and change the details until the booking ends. After the booking ends, the link is locked. It shows that the document is already issued.

The amount and VAT

The invoice does not change the amount you pay. Sync takes the same total and shows it as a net value plus 24% VAT. Sync calculates the VAT out of the total. Sync does not add the VAT to the total.

For example, on a €124 booking, the invoice shows €100 net value and €24 VAT. You still pay €124. (Net value = total ÷ 1.24. VAT = total − net value.)

Automatic invoices for your future bookings

You can save your company details to your account. Then Sync issues an invoice automatically for every future booking. You do not complete the form again.

You keep control at any time:

  • Change the saved details. The change applies to your future bookings. If a current booking did not end yet, the change applies to it too.

  • Deactivate automatic invoices. Then your future bookings get a receipt again.

  • Change one booking from its own link before the deadline. You can enter different company details, or you can ask for a receipt for that booking only.

If the booking is cancelled

If the booking is cancelled, or it never starts, Sync issues no document. You get neither an invoice nor a receipt.

If the amount changes after the invoice

The booking amount can change after Sync issues the invoice. This can happen with a refund or an accepted change. Then Sync issues a credit note or a correction document. Sync does not edit an invoice that it already issued.

You can correct your VAT number and company name until the booking ends. After Sync issues the invoice, a correction needs a credit note.
